SESSIONS

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A general discussion was held, including various topics such as Jetstream, Jetstart, virus protection, MSM Messenger (a good way to load viruses and unwanted software!).
Firewall software Doorstep (shareware), Netbarrier and Spyware were also mentioned.

WORD PROCESSING BASICS

Tony led a session which covered a number of aspects of using AppleWorks (ClarisWorks) as a word processor.  Included were 'how to' tips on setting up a document,  using margins, columns, alignment, justification, inserting graphics and wrapping text around them, using the mouse to select text, line spacing, etc. etc.  With machines as complex as computers, it's easy to take for granted the basic aspects that some of us deal with routinely, forgetting that others may not be aware of them!

REMINDER
