Comments were made that these games help players skills in co-ordination, ability to be quick in their thinking etc.

  • Use of Edit mode/cropping
  • Putting photos in albums /book form of various types/

MacOS 10.2 JAGUAR

This latest update costs approx. $225. Barry thinks there's little difference from the 10.1.
Further to BarryÕs comments (recorded in the September minutes) about MacOS 10.2 not being very different from earlier versions, he said that he has since found out that the new system (ÔJaguarÕ) DOES have a number of differences of which he has since become aware! More on Jaguar in coming meetings.

MACBASICS

Barry explained some basic aspects:
  • copy text, pictures, movies, sounds and paste into scrapbook.
  • setting default saving to documents folder or folder last used by application -- great for new users! This creates Documents folder on Desktop.
  • put this on Hard Drive and make alias for desktop (saves accidental trashing)

INTERNET BANKING

An introduction to using online-banking. Excellent for:
  • paying bills
  • Moving money between accounts
  • getting statements
More on Internet Banking next month.
